Hello, Slash Magazine readers!
It's been a busy end-of-summer, and as we move into the fall, I want to make sure to keep in touch.
A couple of updates!
Slash Magazine at Little Ghosts Fest
September 26th and 27th, Slash Magazine was a vendor at the Little Ghosts Fest in Toronto, Canada. It was an incredible weekend; we got to see familiar faces, writers featured in Slash Magazine, and met many new people. We're grateful to Little Ghosts Books for the opportunity, and for being a massive support for creatives in the horror community.
Their collection of horror fiction and media makes them one of the best bookstores in Toronto. Please be sure to check them out!
The Online Shop is Restocked!
We have some print copies left from the festival, including the brand new Issue 04, "Feast"! If you missed a chance to order before, there are copies of all four printed issues available. You can order from our online shop!
Wrapping Up 2026 - One Year of Slash!
What an AMAZING first year of Slash Magazine. Four print editions, one full Volume, and over a hundred of pieces of horror fiction and poetry online.
When starting this project one year ago, I never could have imagined the warm reception and the amount of submissions Slash received in this time. As of October 2nd, 2026, I'll be re-opening submissions for the Online edition, to continue to publish horror fiction and poetry on our website. Be sure to keep up with Slash here, and on Instagram!
Beyond the website, I will be taking a bit of a breather through to the end of the year to recalibrate and focus on the next year of Slash. I believe that 2027 will bring fresh ideas, new projects and content from Slash, community-building and events. I'm excited for Slash Magazine, and Slash Media as a whole, to grow!
Thank you for being a part of this journey, and for an incredible 2026. It's been a privilege to create these magazines and run this website, I hope that you have been able to find your new favourite horror writers through Slash.
