Another storm sliced across the skies. Hard drops of rain battered the southern wall of an old warehouse upon which Kieran Asim gazed. A mural of a couple splayed across it. Shower after shower, the acrylic chipped away until all that remained was not the original brick, but the same couple, now painted in steely silver beneath.

To Kieran, this was no mere trick of paint or some Klimtian fetish. It was a reflection of the duality of man. A duality he sensed within himself. Beneath the skin––his skin––a thing of steel and silicon. Something forever resistant to the rain.
