It wasn’t footage. Not exactly. The anomaly was more of a leftover. An echo of light skipping staccato across the pitch cosmos. A synthetic wave riding just below the surface of a mirage. Kelsey had discovered it pixeling past the corner of her eye. But when she turned toward the computer screen, it was gone. In her mind, though, she swore she saw the outline of a face.
To this neon ghost of electric life skittering by, Kelsey was a god beyond that cracked CRT of sky. And this footage?
Irrefutable proof of its existence in the big empty afterloop.
